"After serving for six years in the army I wanted a new challenge - something that would lead to secure employment, a good wage and the chance to develop my career further. That’s when I made the decision to go into the gas industry. Becoming a domestic gas engineer has been a challenge I have thoroughly enjoyed, with great job satisfaction and unlimited opportunities." Gemma Bruce
"I am confident that retraining was the best option for me upon leaving the armed forces as the job is both challenging and rewarding. I have never looked back since becoming a heating engineer as in the last eight years I have never been out of work once and at times have had the offer of more than one job at a time." George Surrey

"On completion of a very successful 12 week placement with Kier North Tyneside I was offered a full time position as a gas servicing/repairs engineer. I was overjoyed with the news and delighted to have been given this opportunity to be part of the Kier gas team. May I take this opportunity and say a huge thank you to everyone involved during my training with Kier." Paul 'Tim' Timothy
